The men hope to earn $1 a day searching through public trash bins for materials they can sell to recycling companies. Most days they earn far less. Other men are day laborers and can only buy food for their families on the days they find work. If a man awakens and is ill he cannot work and his family does not eat.

Sow The Seed - India prepares rice and curry and takes it to a poor colony to help feed those in hunger. For many it is their only meal of the day.
